I selected this product because of its appearance and lightness. It fits well under my cabinet with minor complications or adjustments to the unit, except that an electrical plug had to be attached to it. Other than that, it looks nice in my kitchen.

I was disappointed that there is not a cover of some sort for each side underneath the hood to prevent dirt/grease from going all over underneath the hood. It's going to be difficult keeping the underneath clean.

Simple, clean design (white color), easy to install; good option provided with either interior or exterior venting; replaced a much older version of the 30" under-cabinet model. The one negative is the under hood light does not provide adequate lighting ... the older model, with two appliance bulbs, provided much better lighting over the stove. Can the current bulb be replaced with a higher wattage bulb?

Manufacturing defects

Manufacturing defects! They punched the mounting holes too far off the edges. So instead of making them right, they included a board for you to cut up to make spacers for the brackets. The holes aren't the same distances from the edges. So you need a table saw to rip one of them an eighth inch narrower than the other. Other defects are holes that weren't punched. They give you screws to mount the damper, but the only one of the holes was punched. You have to drill them yourself.

I don't like this hood. The fan sits too far back to be of any help to do the job. The light isn't very bright. And cold air comes in from a vent at the top. Too late now, I've already paid all this money for it plus get it installed. $288 total to be exact. It looks nice, but that's about it.

Bought the hood to replace one that gave up the ghost. Only problem I had was the installation was quit a bit longer than implied on the box. Outside of that was pleased with the operation. I also replaced the light bulb that came with hood with a like size LED bulb. It is quit a bit cooler than the one supplied.

Close enough for doublewides

Never replaced a hood before but my old one cropped out after 25 years. Got this replacement at my local Lowes for a decent price. I liked the simple wiring harness. I™€™m no electrician but I was still able to hook it up. Wish it came with an appliance bulb. Had a spare 30 w bulb for my stove so I used it to good effect. Didn™€™t see in the instructions what bulb to use or even how to open the light unit. Maybe I missed it but I doubt it. The charcoal filter option is a great idea and I used that rather than hook back up to the greasy vent pipe. I do take umbrage with the instructions saying it would only take ten minutes to affix and hook up. Took me near an hour but most if that was mounting to chap double wide cabinetry.
